I have recently enrolled my twin daughters to Baby Ballet from Crestar at S$192/term of 3 months. Frankly, before I enrolled them for the classes, I have actually surfed the net on the topic of ballerina feet. As we all know that being a ballerina they have to practice on tip-tops for long hours. Of cause, I’m not training my daughters to be a ballerina but the fear that they will grown up with short toes and muscular legs was a concern for me. On top of those sprains, fractures, and tendinitis are foot injuries common for ballerina.
However, after the first lesson I came to a conclusion and enrolled them for the classes. Reason being, they are just playing and doing lots of stretching and some very basic stuff during this stage. Or should I say they are there to get their energy out and learn some good posture!!! I will re-think my decision again when they reach a higher grade or who knows their interest might just die one day.
