3rd B'day Celebration - Part (2)

Today's celebration is with my in-laws and cousins. Fang has helped to get a cheese cake for Jodie & Jonie. The actual plan wasn't like this and not today as well, but in-law said that they will be eating vegetarian the whole of next day so we have to bring it forward.

Sang their all time favourite B'day song, cut cake then it's present time. This year round I spent the most on their B'day celebration. Last year, after all the cakes & goodies bag I would spend about S$300. But this year 3 cakes already cost me S$220 plus the cheese cake S$40 and goodies for their friends S$70 and lastly their present S$190. That adds up to a whopping S$520!!! That's like S$220 more then last year...

Make a guess what did I get them as their present??? Maybe not a very good one, but still I have been eyeing for that item for almost 1/2 a year. The item attracted me a lot as my girls have been telling how much they like to have one. But I can't afford to buy them a real gadget, so ended up buying this child version. Still I must say, you can't compare with the real ones ...

3rd Birthday Celebration - Part (1)

You must be wondering if I have many photos to load, that's why the "Part" came about. Unfortunately, NOT because of the numbers of photos to load but just that we are celebrating with different groups of people. 1st group of people consist of my parents, my brother & his wife, 姑妈,Jasmine姐姐,God-Pa & God-Ma.
We went to JUMBO @ Changi, a very nice SAFAR resort which has got a very big pool, golf course, bungalow and some other facilities for their members. On top of that, their membership aren't cheap either. Think it's considered to be WOW!!! Place of the common people like us. Ordered their cake from an online blogspot by the name Aunty Yochana. Not bad a cake, considering her price.
As for the food, very nice... we had prawns, chili crab, butter cream crab, tofu, fish, fried sotong, veg and Yuo Tao plus desserts. Having all these at about S$330 for 11 adults & 2 children. *Thumbs up*

I need a BREAK!!!

Projects, children, in-laws, people, money ... are taking a toll on me after 3 long years. I think I really need a BREAK desperately or I might just snap one day. I'hv been needing a real rest from all the "noise" I have in my mind, heart & soul.
I'm praying really hard that my wish will be granted but I can't even see a ray of light that it will ever be possible. "Your Xiao Mei at night will look for you deh... 2 months later will be worst. If you what to go holiday, I really don't know how to look after... ". But in the 1st place when I ask U why did you say "Ok, you want go then go loh!".
I'm already at a point that at times I really want to just pack and bring my children to stay with my mother / in a hotel. Yes!!! It's that bad.

Choo ChooTrain

It's 9am and ... *yawnz* Jodie & Jovie woke me up!!! Yes!!! I promised my twins that we will take them for a train ride today & buy them raisins.

It's not their 1st time taking the train but still they are very excited about it (It's only the 2nd time). The sun was really bright & hot today, so instead of walking to the station, we have Fang GuGu drive us to the station... As usual people started to look at us... not sure it's because of the twins or did we looked weird? Lucky, Tampines was where we were going and on the train we also decided to head for Bakerzin for our lunch. We had ... pork chop with potatoes, ham penne, pasta, pumpkin soup & mushroom soup. After the yummy lunch with head for Cold Storage to buy them raisins as promised and they also grab a pack of gummies. Then Jonie's bell starts ringing... "Daddy bao bao... I want to orh orh le..." Hmmm... just as Daddy was shopping for some pens for this office, so we have to cut short our shopping and head home.

Guess what!?! While walking back from the station, a comment came:-
J2 "Why don't Daddy drive car to fetch us in?"
M "Daddy not driving ah!"
J2 "Fang GuGu can drive"
M "Don't be lazy... You are not walking, Daddy is pushing your push chair."

Kids these days are getting smarter, or were we "slower"? Talking about kids being smarter these days. I was talking to a friend of mine the other day, whose son has just being enrolled into primary1 this year. She mentioned that his son needs to EMAIL his teacher his homework and have to do PROJECTS during school holidays. Did I hear her wrongly?? Or am I too out dated? But don't parents out there feel that things are moving too fast? Aren't kids supposed to play a little during these years?

~~~Time filies~~~
Time really fillies before I know it, one week has passed after I went back to work. Really busy at work and as for the girls, they are doing fine. It's their nap time now and I'm think of where to bring them for dinner later and what to do with them tomorrow? Shall I bring them to the ZOO? Farm?? Peek-a-Boo?? Paint @ home?? IKEA?? *Sigh* Where shall I bring them??
Anyway, I brought them to Peek-a-Boo last Sunday and they have a lot of fun for the 2 hours there. Some how I felt Peek-a-Boo is better then JWT as they allow the children to play for as long as they want. Furthermore the play time will not be interpreted by Birthday Party sessions / classes held there. AND AND the charges are base on per entry and not per hour!! S$14 per child. Not too bad.
Getting hungry... Hmmm!!! Maybe I should bring them to Oasis @ Toa Payoh for dinner... Yummy!!!
*Can you find Jonie???*
