Start to be Afraid!!!

Just went for my check up last Saturday, all was well per the gynae. Now my babies are finally slightly above 2kg and my gynae is also not so worried about them coming too early. But I’m still worried for them & the pain & the method of birth & … …

Sometimes I want them to be out asap, so that I dun have to carry such a heavy load around and having to use so much strength to get out of bed in the middle of the night just to go to the loo or wake up in the morning. Now even turning & tossing in bed is a tough work, least to say experiencing numbness in the night after sleeping too long on my side. But I guess all will end soon, perhaps another 1-2 mths? Hope they will not come during my exam period (mid July), cos I dun wan to defer my exam to November (by then I will have 8 subjects in total). Nor do I wan to defer my course by half a year. Help me someone … … someone help me!

What to do Next?

It’s yet another Monday… Sitting in front of the computer just to kill some time before I go to prepare lunch. Hmmm… What should I cook for lunch? Boring… Can someone come & bring me out? Shopping & massage may be the only thing I’m looking forward to now. Saw an ad on pre-natal massage not sure if I should go try in out. Well, it’s on a discount @ $78 per trial. Is this very expensive or should I just save the $$ for the port-natal massage? Sigh… …

Blues...

Blues … Must be the effect of staying @ home for too long with nothing much to do. Now that the maid has come, it has became my duty to tell her what to do everyday & make sure that she did it right. Lucky she understands English or else I will go mad. So far so good, she is fast in her work & able to take instructions. I hope she can still cope when the babies come & I have to go back to work. I’m already wondering if I would give up my job to take of my babies. I’m worried that Da would not be able to cope too. Having to support 2 babies, a wife & a family is no joke. Well! There’s nothing much we can do now but watch each step we take.

Extended til 2nd June 2007

Went to see my gynae today, all was well. My babies each weight about 1.1kg now, while I weighted a whoopi 55.5kg… Where did the other 10kg goes to? I definitely don’t look fat but only slight water retention at my legs. According to an article that I have read, the additional weight gain during pregnancy goes to areas like: Placenta (0.45kg – 1kg), Amniotic Fluid (1kg), Uterus (1kg), Maternal breast tissue (1kg), Maternal blood (2kg), Fluids in maternal tissue (2kg), Maternal fat & nutrient stores (3kg) and; Baby (3kg – 4kg). Also from the article, if you were a healthy weight before pregnancy, you should gain about 11kg – 16kg.

Next time round when you or your wife gets pregnant, you will have to understand the slowness in action. It’s not something that we make an excuse out from it but it is really heavy! Even now if I am to walk for too long, you will see me carrying my tummy. But still there are pregnant ladies who do not feel a bit of different. Well! It comes down to different people experience different pregnancy.

MC till 12 May 2007

Finally I can enter the blog … Well just to update on my progress of my pregnancy, have admitted myself into hospital on

25 April 2007

due to tightness of the tummy. At that point of time really got no idea that was contraction until I reach the hospital and they put me on an equipment to monitor my babies’ heart beat. I really thought that the tightness was due to the bad cough I was having at that point of time. Really gave both of us such a shock cos we haven really bought all the things that the babies will need when they arrive. Lucky all went well after 6 days of stay and I checked out on 1st of May 2007. Doctor told me that I have to rest well at home, like how I’m resting in the hospital eat, sleep, TV and; wash up. Now I’m back home and my mother-in-law is taking care of me… So pie say, yesterday still vomited on the floor and she have to clean up for me. Hopefully the maid can come sooner so that she can go back to office to help them. Everyone is so busy doing something but me.

Doctor has also stopped me from going to work and school. She commented that I can study but don’t stress myself too much. How can study not be stressful? So far I have missed so much lessons that I’m worried I will not be able to cope. Going to see her again this Saturday, Erm! Think she will extend my MC further till maybe another month? Cos she did say that if I’m to give birth now it will be too risky for my babies, have to drag till at least July where they will only be 1 month premature. And for goodness sick if they are to need the incubator, which would cost us a huge bomb cos 1 day of usage would be S$1,000 (1 Baby) excluding all other special care they may need. Hahaha!!! Let us just hope they will be good and stay in there longer. Ok Babies?

Princesses

It has been confirmed ... I'm having princesses. So happy... but during Monday's checkup (19/03/2007) doctor also advised that I do not stressed myself too much as my placenta is slightly low & there are chances of miscarriage or premature birth. She say that I may have to stop working in June !!! Meaning I have to stay in bed till I'm due to give birth... Gosh!! Is this a good or bad news? (Rest or Rot?) Anyway no worries... will still have to find time to do shopping for my 2 girls. So many things to buy but yet not sure where to start buying.... Aiyo !!! But I'm still happy.
